Our mark, in all its forms

The Covenant mark pairs a geometric monogram — a covenant arch over a steady line — with the wordmark in our display typeface. It should always appear in one of these approved configurations, in approved colour combinations only.

Give the mark room to breathe

Always maintain a minimum clear space equal to the height of the monogram around all sides of the logo lockup. No text, imagery, or other graphic elements should intrude on this zone.

Chapter Two

Colour Palette

Covenant Blue, ink & earned gold

Covenant Blue, drawn directly from our logo, is our dominant brand colour — confident, precise, and trustworthy. Ink and navy ground the system; warm gold appears sparingly as the accent of an oath kept.

How colours are applied

Each colour has a defined role. Covenant Blue should read as the dominant identity colour everywhere our brand appears — sticking to these rules ensures hierarchy and recognition stay consistent.

Colour
Approved Uses
Covenant Blue — #1976D2
Dominant brand colour. Primary CTAs, links, the logo mark, key headlines, active states, eyebrow accents. Should be the first colour anyone associates with Covenant.
Sky Blue — #3FA9F5
Secondary blue. Highlights, gradients paired with Covenant Blue, hover states, lighter UI accents.
Covenant Deep — #125196
Hover/pressed states for primary blue, gradients, secondary banners.
Ink — #152039
Primary text colour, dark backgrounds, navigation bars, footers, body copy on light backgrounds.
Slate Grey — #959698
Body copy, supporting text, captions, metadata. Never for primary headlines or CTAs.
Fog
Borders, dividing lines, table strokes, disabled states.
White — #FFFFFF
Page backgrounds, card surfaces, alternating section fills.
Oath Gold — #BA8E46
Reserved for moments tied to trust, tenure, and integrity — badges, anniversary callouts, the word "oath" itself. Never a dominant background.

Chapter Three

Typography

Montserrat

Montserrat Bold is our primary display typeface. Its confident, geometric letterforms reflect a brand built on disciplined strategy and channel mastery. Use it for headlines, the wordmark, and brand statements. Where licensed, Garet may be used as an approved alternate display face.

Open Sans

Open Sans Regular is our body and UI typeface, with Myriad as an approved alternate where Open Sans is unavailable. Clean, highly legible, and built for screens — it balances the confidence of Montserrat with functional clarity for reports, proposals, navigation, and long-form copy.

Chapter Four

Voice & Tone

How Covenant speaks

Our voice is the voice of a trusted strategist, not a salesperson — disciplined, candid, and precise. We explain what is happening, why it's happening, and what must change. We never manufacture urgency; the strategy and the results speak for themselves.

We Are
Truth-first — We explain what's happening and why, even when it's uncomfortable.
Disciplined — We engineer the strategy before we ever spend a dollar.
Precise — We speak in specifics: margins, mechanics, models, results.
Conscientious — Quality is a character trait we hold ourselves to before anyone asks.
A steward, not a vendor — We treat every dollar entrusted to us as our own.
We Are Not
Salesy or pushy — We never use high-pressure language or manufactured urgency.
Vague — "Results-driven" alone means nothing. We show the mechanism.
Tactics-first — We never run a channel before we understand the business behind it.
Hype-driven — No "best agency ever" language. Our 20 years and our clients' numbers do the talking.
A faceless vendor — We are a partner who explains, educates, and stays accountable.

Do's and don'ts in copy

The difference between on-brand and off-brand writing is often subtle. These side-by-side examples show the right and wrong approaches to our most common communications.

Don't write this
"We're the BEST marketing agency in Dallas! Our amazing strategies get INSANE results! Book now before spots fill up!"
Write this instead
"We study your margins, market, and constraints before we recommend a single tactic. Then we engineer a strategy built for your business — not a template."
Don't write this
"Hey! We run ads on basically every platform and they all work great for everyone!"
Write this instead
"We don't run ads. We exploit each channel on its own terms — adapting the strategy to the platform, never the platform to the strategy."
Don't write this
"We've worked with a lot of clients over the years and they're all pretty happy with us."
Write this instead
"For 20 years, Covenant has stewarded marketing investments for hundreds of businesses — with the same disciplined process for every one."

What we say, anchored in belief

Our values aren't a mission-statement exercise — each one carries an operating anchor, a single sentence that turns belief into a daily standard.

values-grid">
01
Investigate Relentlessly
We build strategy from truth, not assumptions.
02
Engineer Before We Execute
We document the blueprint before we launch the first ad.
03
Be Conscientious in Every Detail
We hold ourselves to a standard before a client ever asks for it.
04
Go the Extra Mile
We don't wait to be asked to do what we know is necessary.
05
Exploit Channels Authentically
We adapt strategy to the channel — not the channel to the strategy.
06
Steward, Don't Sell
We behave like a partner, not a vendor.

Chapter Five

Stationery & Applications

The mark, in the wild

Business cards and letterhead are the most frequent physical touchpoints with clients and partners. They should always feel unmistakably Covenant — ink, Covenant Blue, and disciplined structure.

Dear Mr. Harrison,
Thank you for your interest in a Digital Marketing Review. Per our process, we begin with an intake and discovery phase to understand your margins, market position, and constraints before recommending any strategy.
You can expect a documented blueprint, not a list of tactics, within five business days of our discovery call.
Yours sincerely,

Jordan Calloway
Director of Client Strategy

Protecting the brand in use

These rules apply across all brand materials — digital, print, proposals, and reporting decks.

✓   Do
Always lead with Covenant Blue as the dominant identity colour. Maintain generous clear space around the logo lockup. Use Montserrat for all headlines and Open Sans for body text. Apply gold sparingly, only for moments tied to trust, tenure, or integrity.
✗   Don't
Never place the logo on a busy or low-contrast background without a clear backing. Never let gold dominate a layout. Never mix fonts outside the approved system. Never use drop shadows, gradients, or effects on the logo mark itself.
✓   Do
Use Covenant Blue consistently for primary CTAs and links across every channel. Let ink and navy carry weight and authority on dark layouts. Pair the geometric display headline with a precise, low-key body voice. Use the numbered-anchor treatment to introduce our values consistently.
✗   Don't
Never crowd the layout with competing accent colours. Never use more than two typefaces in any single layout. Never set Open Sans body copy below 14px — it loses legibility in long-form reports. Never apply coloured text on coloured backgrounds without sufficient contrast (WCAG AA minimum 4.5:1 ratio).
